The EUR/NAT RO supported the joint meeting of the South Atlantic Safety Oversight and Implementation Management groups (SAT/SOG and SAT IMG), in collaboration with the ICAO SAM Office. The meeting was held from 7 to 11 April in Lima, Peru.

The meeting discussed and advance implementation of a number of plans and projects aiming at further improvement of air traffic services (ATS) provision in the South Atlantic (SAT) area, including the strengthening of the SAT safety performance monitoring mechanisms.
The EUR/NAT RO has been involved in providing support to the SAT work since 2021 as part of the temporary arrangement to assist the SAT area in the initial establishment of the new SAT working structure. Since then, the new structure has been successfully implemented and started delivering first results marking the successful completion of this inter-regional collaboration project.
