The event will be conducted in English. Delegates will be responsible for arranging their own translation services for bilateral negotiation meetings, if needed. The official language of the Dominican Republic is Spanish.

Currency and Exchange Rate
The currency of the Dominican Republic is the peso (DOP/RD$). One peso is equivalent to 100 centavos. Banknotes come in denominations of 2000, 1000, 500, 200, 100, and 50. Coins are available in DOP 1, 5, 10, and 25 denominations.
The approximate exchange rate is USD 1.00 = DOP 62.15 (buy), DOP 60.65 (sell), subject to the official exchange information from the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic. For more information, please visit: www.bancentral.gov.do.
Currency exchange should always be done through banks or hotels authorized by the Central Bank. Some street vendors in tourist areas may accept U.S. dollars (USD), although this is not a legal tender in the country.
Temperature
Due to its tropical location, the Dominican Republic enjoys excellent weather conditions. In Punta Cana, temperatures in November average around 29°C (84°F) during the day and 23°C (73°F) at night.
The water temperature in November is about 28°C (82°F), making it ideal for a beach vacation. The sun shines for an average of 8 hours daily.

Electricity
Electrical outlets in the Dominican Republic are type A and B. The standard voltage is 110 V and 120 volts at a frequency of 60 Hz. Delegates from countries with different electrical standards will need a travel power plug adapter.

American Express, MasterCard, and Visa credit cards are accepted at commercial establishments, restaurants, and hotels, as well as by banks and ATMs throughout the country.

To make international calls from the Dominican Republic, dial the international access code (011), followed by the country code, city code (if applicable), and then the telephone number.
Dominican Republic phone numbers consist of ten digits, and the area codes are "809," "829," and "849."
Mobile services are reliable in Punta Cana. Major service providers include Claro, Altice, and Viva. SIM cards are readily available at the airport and in local stores for USD 3–10, with ID required for activation.
