The panel will discuss innovative approaches to address the shortage of aviation professionals, and examine best practices and collaborative initiatives aimed at creating sustainable career pathways in the face of challenges in the rapidly evolving APAC aviation sector.

This panel will explore how educational technologies are transforming aviation training by comparing the methods used by academies, training institutions, and universities. Panellists will discuss both unique and shared approaches to integrating technology in response to the evolving demands of aviation. Key topics include emerging trends in immersive tools such as virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, as well as AI-driven platforms and advanced simulation technologies. Panellists will provide insights into how these institutions utilize these technologies to develop specialized skills and promote continuous professional growth that meets the industry's needs.

How do we ensure training effectiveness amidst an evolving aviation landscape? This session will focus on evaluating training effectiveness such as the implementation and adaptation of Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) in aviation and among other training approaches. They will share insights on best practices and innovative approaches on competency development and assessment in various aviation roles.

​Discussion Panel 4: Attracting the Future Generation: Nurturing Pathways to Aviation Careers

This panel will delve into the design and implementation of impactful youth programmes and explore innovative strategies to attract and nurture a diverse and skilled workforce in the aviation sector. Panellists will discuss outreach programmes, youth engagement initiatives, showcase successful case studies, discuss the integration of STEM education, and partnerships between the industry, governments, and educational institutions. Key topics will include leveraging technology to reach potential candidates, creating youth-focused programmes that provide early exposure to the industry, developing accessible career pathways, and positioning aviation as an appealing and sustainable career choice in the APAC region.
